Patti Smith is a famous singer, musician, poet, and songwriter, and poet, and she is one of the legendary icons who ushered in the punk rock movement in New York City. Smith has won lots of accolades, one of them being the prestigious National Book Award for Just Kids, her memoir.
The year 2010 saw the Rolling Stone placing her at the 47th position in the list of 100 greatest musicians of all time. Smith also won the Polar Music Prize, which she won in 2011.
Pattie has enough money under her belt to manage without a bankruptcy attorney with ease. She has taken a brief break from the industry and isn’t touring around the world due to a few personal issues. The 73-year-old is an optimistic woman and always sees the positive side of life. This is probably why she spares time to her writing too.
