Bevy of Beauties
The term southern belle hails back to the pre-civil war era of America, also called the Antebellum period. This term is usually denoted to young women who had just come of age and were readying themselves to be part of the mature society’s social circles. They are also known as debutantes.
Of course, there were common fashion elements that includes a hooped skirt, straw hat, corset, and gloves to make for a perfect debutante outfit.
However, things have changed drastically since then, you do not have to follow the regular tropes or those dresses, now you can be yourself. Tan or no tan, you just have to flaunt your perfect self. These belles are doing that with great aplomb. Their smiles are giving way to the fact of how at ease are they in their skins.
