At Loggerheads
Pretty in Pink is another teen classic that would always remain one of the top favorites of the 80s decade. Hailed as a Brat Pack film, the cult classic starred Molly Ringwald, Harry Dean Stanton, Jon Cryer, Annie Potts, James Spader, and Andrew McCarthy, among others. The film’s soundtrack too received appreciation from all quarters.
Legend has it that Ringwald was the one who wanted McCarthy in the cast for Pretty in Pink. She pushed for the actor to be included in the cast. However, the two could never get along. They were always at loggerheads and Ringwald must have rued her decision later on. But the two certainly piled on more to their respective earnings through the film.
