John Kerry and Teresa Heinz – Together Since 1995
John Kerry was a potential Democratic candidate for president before he joined the 2020 race. However, he chose not to run and endorsed President-elect Joe Biden, instead. The Biden Transition Team named Kerry as Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. He was also the 2004 presidential candidate, Teresa Heinz is the wife of John Kerry.
Heinz and Kerry locked eyes for the first time in 1990 at an Earth Day rally. In 1992, Heinz and Kerry met again at the Earth Summit in Brazil. Heinz at that time was a member of a State Department delegation.
The Heinz Family Foundation lists environmental issues as their main agenda and became a non-governmental representative. She and Kerry began dating in 1993 and walked down the aisle on May 26, 1995, in Nantucket, Massachusetts and it has been one great marital journey for them.
