Flights can be really boring, especially when they are long-haul ones. They can also be frustrating, especially when you have kids on board and things can really get out of hand. Vacationing is always fun. You will have a taste of the local food, explore new places, and bond with your friends and family. You can do all the fun things that you hardly get to do in your day-to-day life, but all these come later. First, you need to board the flight and spend hours traveling before you reach your destination. If Paris is your holiday spot, it will be a minimum of seven hours before you touch down on the city. If Japan is where you are headed, be prepared to spend eleven hours on the flight. All this will happen while you will see people do funny things to keep themselves engaged.
Applying Face Mask
When you are on a long-distance flight, it’s normal for your skin to get dehydrated. To prevent that, passengers keep on drinking water frequently to keep their skin and face hydrated. You might come across a few women applying makeup on board, but have you ever seen some of them applying a face mask? Isn’t that messy? These women then use makeup wipes or toner to take off the mask, but to remove the mask completely they use the bathroom and leave it untidy. It gets even worse when they place slices of cucumber on their eyes after putting the mask on. Is it an airplane or a spa?
Doing Yoga on Flight
Long-haul flights can make your body parts stiff since you have to adjust between the tight spaces for long periods. Some passengers do a bit of workouts, like stretching their hands and legs, and even walk around a bit to make sure things are fine. However, some people take the onus on themselves to take things on a different level. They get up from their seats and start a full yoga session right there in between the aisles! Okay, the flights are long enough, but who treats an airplane like their own personal gym? What’s the point in obstructing the path of their fellow flyers?
Taking Socks Off
When you are on a flight, you are bound to meet someone who has no obligations to maintain good manners. They are often rude as well. Some will take off their socks and shoes, and then they will either bend their knees up to their legs. Some even place their feet on the backside of the headrest in front of them, continuously pushing the passenger in that seat from behind. There are also a few who just dangle their legs over their seat’s edge. Still, some go a little farther by putting their feet up on the tray table or top of the seats in front of them. Imagine it is summer and you have a pair of stinky feet around you. Ugh!
Hanging Out in the Washroom
Keeping a refreshed mind and a refreshed body is necessary when you are on a long-distance flight. A bit of a change in the scenery sounds good. Now, where on earth do some people find peace? The washroom! Oh yes. Hanging out in the washroom is cool for these guys. Since when did lavatories become so appealing? It’s a new trend or might be a strategy to escape from crying babies, stinky feet, or aisle yoga. Who knows!
Dancing Between the Aisles
Gosh! Onboard a flight, especially the long ones, you will have no choice but to see people dancing between the aisles. Now, what can make someone find a dance floor on the flight? Actually, passengers often find themselves trapped in their seats, especially if they are sitting in the middle.
You can often see people walking up and down the aisle, relaxing their muscles and making sure that blood circulation is all right. However, some might even dance in the aisles and get entertained. That’s quite strange as their fellow flyers won’t adore them or give them a standing ovation for their performance. Instead, there are greater chances of them receiving a rude look. It’s better not to come across as a plane jester to your co-passengers.
These are some of the entertaining things people do on flights. Singing out loud, using the tray table as a changing table for your baby, making soups, shaving, snoring on the flight are a few of the worse things you can experience on long-haul flights. So, you might feel lucky if you get stuck with the funny ones!
