If you are a foodie like us, we bet you would like to have an out-of-the-world experience. Many restaurants around the globe can promise you more than sumptuous food. They can give you an amazing experience that can last a lifetime. Here are the most amazing and weird restaurants that you need to check out. Some of them can be gross, but then we warned you, didn’t we?
Witches in Britches, Melbourne, Australia
With Halloween around the corner, you would like to visit a restaurant with a Halloween theme, but then what would you call a restaurant that has a theme all year long? Scary? Weird? Yet a whole lot of fun. This restaurant in Melbourne has been around for twenty-six years, but they serve their food with a lot of love, of course, and a whole lot of goth and a side dish of theatrics! The fun has a gothic connotation now and makes it to our bucket list instantly. How about you?
Modern Toilet Restaurant, Taipei, Taiwan
If you visit this one, it will all seem like a giant, err toilet, yeah, it’s a toilet-themed restaurant! With chairs like toilet seats, you are sure to experience a whole new world of dining! And if you still don’t get the feels now, it comes complete with chequered tiles and showerheads. They even serve the dishes in toilet-shaped bowls. And they serve the drinks in bowls shaped like urinals. Well, if you thought that you had your share of weird for the day, plungers are hanging from the ceiling in the shape of feces. It is certainly a ‘different’ kind of experience, but whether you want to try that or not, we leave that for you to decide.
Twin Stars Diner, Moscow, Russia
Twins everywhere, well, that’s right, this restaurant in Russia only hires twin employees, so everyone from the waiter to the chef, to the bartender, will have an identical twin working there. The restaurant’s theme draws inspiration from the Russian movie Twins snapped by the owner Alexei Khodorkovsky! All we can see what a ‘twinning’ concept, We mean a winning concept.
Heart Attack Grill, Las Vegas, USA
Well, this restaurant sends you straight to a hospital, we aren’t kidding here, as the theme of the restaurant is a hospital where the waitresses don the look of nurses. The restaurant’s tagline is pretty unique as well, ‘taste worth dying for.’ The bypass burger in their restaurant is a case in point. It contains four beef patties and twenty slices of bacon! While the healthy diet enthusiasts would say it might just clog up your arteries, we believe the taste is worth the risk! However, food experiments are not always for the faint-hearted if you are a foodie adventurer, go there and take a bite into the juiciest burger ever! You owe yourself once a chance to visit gastronomical heaven without a care in the world.
Dinner in the Sky, Various cities
Trigger warning, not for people who suffer from vertigo! They took the theme of the restaurant quite literally. So, you get to dine while hanging in the air, with a portable table complete with attached chairs and hoisted 100 ft above the ground. Only 22 people get to ‘hang out’ together and the chefs who prepare the food for you right before your eyes. The ‘into-thin-air’ kind of theme started in Belgium. However, the fad caught on, and now there countless restaurants around the world. We have just one suggestion, don’t look down when you eat!
Robot Restaurant, Tokyo, Japan
Love AI (artificial Intelligence) and all things that are Robot-inspired? Well, we have just got a restaurant for you. Neon lights? Check, thumping music? Check. Women combating cyborgs? Check. Psychedelic overkill? Check. Yeah, weird, and how! But it steals the attention of everyone who likes to eat. And if you wish to have fun, and be merry in the most unconventional way possible.
Well, some people eat to live, and others live to eat. If you fall under that latter category, we know for sure that this list makes you fall in love with these places.
